The disabled startup items are moved here:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shared Tools\MSConfig\startupreg]
Open Regedit.exe and delete the sub-keys from above location.
As for the msconfig "selective startup" screen at every boot, try this:
Click Start | run | type "msconfig /auto"
Uncheck the box and press OK.

I installed two worthless programs, it still shows up
when I open up MSCONFIG under the Start up Tab, how do I
get rid of this? I unchecked them so they don't run,
which was slowing my PC down, now I get msconfig utility
comeing up each time I start pc.
Thanks Ter
