Hi

I have a message in my Vista 5728 x64 Windows Mail Inbox that I cannot
delete. When I try I receive the message "An unknown error has occurred". I
have tried hiding the preview pane and deleting, but nothing happened.

Is there a way to clean up the database? I would export all message folders
before the cleaning (except the "sticky" one...) and import them later to a
"brand new" messagem DB.

Thank you

Edric

check the time date and size of the message
go here
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Mail\Local Folders
Delete offending message

Thank you for the help, but as weird as it may seem, the message was not at
the Inbox folder. I couldn't find any other place, so I guess it's a bug
indeed...

Well, nothing that another build clean install does not solve... Friday that
persistent thing will be killed... <:^)

I have the same problem, a corrupted email in my Inbox that I cannot delete.
I tried looking for it in the Local Folders, using the path you suggest
below, but it wasn't listed ! In fact it listed only 15 items, when my Inbox
currently contains 118 items !
Just for interest I looked in all of my Mail Sub Folders while I was there
and over 99% of the emails I have stored, are NOT displayed.
