Problem: We use Outlook 2000 with Exchange 5.5 (SP4) to do conference room
scheduling, and we use the "direct booking" method
(http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;196534&Product=out2
K). The scheduling process has worked almost flawlessly, up to a point..
In the last few weeks we've had many employees leave the company. Despite
the fact that their NT accounts and mailboxes were disabled, Outlook still
shows the conference rooms they reserved as busy. Obviously it's
frustrating when somebody is unable to book a room, only to walk by that
room and see it unoccupied.
Does anyone know of a way to scan through all of the utility/conf room
mailboxes to clear out the reservations for accounts that are no longer
active? Do the NT accts and mailboxes need to be physically deleted (not
just disabled)? The only choice we have now is to go through each
conference room calendar with a list of former employees and delete them one
by one.
Thanks!
