From a command prompt use "ipconfig /all" without the quotation marks.
Or, click on, network connection > status > support

I once tried to use "ipconfig" to check my IP address.
Unfortunately, the screen just popped up and then shutted
down immediately. Do you know why?

You must open a command window and type ipconfig /all in the command
window.

start > run > cmd will open a command window.

Angry Ip scanner will scan the network and report the ip
addresses but you really cannot check other ip addresses
without third party softare. You have to go to each
machine and check the ip addresses yourself.

By default, on Windows XP, you'll have to type "ipconfig"
or "ipconfig/all". However, if you prefer a GUI
interface, you can download the Windows NT IPConfig
Utility that is part of the Windows 2000 resource kit. It
is very similar to winipcfg and will work on XP.
