How to change wording in bar chart

I have a simple bar chart, it has a heading at the top,On the left it has £
values, At the bottom for each column it has a number 1,2,3,4,5,6,

How do I change the numbers at the bottom to read
2001,2002,2003,2004,2005,2006

the worksheet edit the chart data series (right click in the chart, Source
Data | Series tab) and change the Category (X) axis labels to pick from
