How can you personalize the user logon icon? Right now
we have two guitars, a fish and something else - are
there not more than three icon choices at login screen
when windows xp first starts?

Start-Control Panel-User Accounts. Click on the user under "Pick On an
Account to Change" then go to "Change my picture"

HTH

I gave the neighbours cat an user account (it sleeps with me in winter cause
I let it in and I have a heater - it ignores me in summer). With it's
picture. It likes typing and clicking mouse buttons. Generally by sleeping
on the keyboard or mouse.

Go to User Accounts in Control Panel and you can choose from some or use
your own pics.

Cute story, David. I have a cat that is sure that my monitor will benefit
from a "windshield washer" created with his tail. ;)

Cat hair will fowl (pun intended foul is correct usage) the
keyboard, so get a skin to seal it up. The cat hair will
also clog the fans and make them stop turning, it is an
excellent insulator (ask your cat). Be sure to clean inside
the case very often.

Maybe you can get a touch screen and a mouse screen saver,

Thanks for the suggestions Jim. Several pets live here so the case is
cleaned weekly.

In the old days there used to be programs sold for computers that detected a cat walking on the keyboard, and stopped keystrokes being sent to the computer. Cats too often would delete files.

I brush the cat as soon as it comes in, and have a battery operated vacumm cleaner for picking up it's clothes.
