How do I change the dot to a comma in a list of numbers
with decimals?
Does anybody know that?
Is it that complicated? I'm feeling it has to be obvious
since a lot of people must come accross that problem,
anyway, if you know, I could sleep tonight.
thank you

Hi,

two methods. The comma separator is used in some
countries, and can be set for a machine using the Regional
Settings in control panel.

Other method, set a number format using a custom format.

If the numbers are being stored as text because they have a dot as the
decimal separator and you use the comma, you can select all the cells, then
do
Edit=>Replace
Find What: . (dot)
Replace With: , (comma)

Simple...

Just go to

Tools>>Options>>International

There u shld see "number handling" method.

Hope that helps.

I do not think you can use a comma as a decimal point in custom formatting
when the regional setting are comma for thousands separator and period for
decimal point.
