Vibrant Aviation Design template in Power Point 2007 is great! BUT - how do
you access the Background Object to work with the blank wing in the right
hand corner?

Well, I downloaded this template

http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/templates/TC100435411033.aspx?pid=CT101426591033&AxInstalled=1

And I don't see a blank wing in the right-hand corner. But anyway, if you go
to View | Slide Master, then right-click the background and choose Group |
Ungroup, you can see that the basic background is an image.

You can do this on the slide master (the big one at the top) and on the
title slide layout. If you ungroup a couple of times on the slide master,
you'll see a shape over in the lower right-ish part of the white background.
Select and delete it, and then put another autoshape on the slide, fill it
with a color, and use Drawing Tools Format | Send to Back -- then you can
see these odd sketch-like drawings on the background image. Those are
actually part of the image.

Thx. I thought I was seeing things so I downloaded the template again. The
plate comes up with a white background so you don't see the transparent shape
until you texture or fill it. The multiple Ungroup is what I needed. Once I
got to the bottom right box, I found there's a bit more of the section
beneath the display. If you click and drag the box up and over a color you
see the slogan and the transparent wing off the body. Clever! Now I can fill the wing object with the picture background I was using make
it more transparent and use the corner as the unique shape. Instead of a box
you get the deltoid of a wing! The transparent wing shape on the slide
doesn't seem to be in the 'shapes' and I can't seem to make the drawing tool
snap to an angle, yet. But now I'll just keep tryin'

Ahhhh. You know way more about those shapes on that template than I do! :-)

You might want to select a shape and then on the Drawing Tools Format tab
use Convert to Freeform and then Edit Points. I think that will help you get
the shape you're after.
