Hi,

I know how to set the power policy but not the time
settings for power scheme using registry file. Can anyone
advise me how to set the time settings for the selected
power scheme using registry? Example for laptop:

(Pls view it as 3 columns separated with colon)
- TASK : WITH POWER PLUGGED IN : RUNNING ON BATTERIES:
- turn off monitor: after 5 mins : after 10 mins
- turn off hard disks : after 15 mins : after 20 mins
- system standby : after 25 mins : after 30 mins
- system hibernates : never : never

I know these settings can be easily set manually, but
process needs them to be set automatically using reg
file. And whenever new user is created to the machine,
these settings need to be preserved and should look
exactly the same for each user.

Realized that those settings are in hexadecimal values
thus make it difficult to include the correct desired
value to the reg file hence fail to set properly. Those
hexadecimal values really drive me crazy!!! Any URL for
good & understandable explaination about hex value?

Help me please. Thank you.

Hi,
yes. i am aware of using calculator to change the hex to
decimal values. But, sadly, i have no idea how to
interpret the value obtained after hex to decimal
conversion. I mean which value actually refers to which
task, like turn off monitor and so on...

any idea?
