How do I change file systems from nfts to fat32? When I installed W2K it loaded nfts. Also do I need to use fat32 to run my DVD burner without file mscd.ex.exe.. My burner works good except I need a decoder software to show a DVD CD on my PC. The mscdex.exe I believe is to make movies?

Re-install the DVD decoder software (CD) that came with
your drive.

Pre-Windows 2000:
Mscdex was a CD-ROM driver that enabled you to access the
CD-ROM from MS-DOS.
MSCDEX was a 16-bit program that ran in real mode.

Windows 2000:
uses a dynamically loadable driver called the Compact Disk
File System (CDFS).
The CDFS is a 32-bit driver/program that runs in protected
mode.

Hi, Jim.

To add to what Austin said: the ONLY reason to continue using FAT32 is if
you plan to install Win9x/ME on that computer. Otherwise, use NTFS all the
way!
