How to change fields in outlook 2003?

I would like to change or add a field in outlook 2003 such as adding a field
called "Number of employees" under "Company" in the General view of a contct
card. Is this possible?

If it is, how can I show this change in the general view of all contacts?

If this is not possible in 2003, is it possible in the 2007 version of
outlook? Thank you.
 
Thank you for your reply, but I did follow the instructions from "Help" and
it did not help me. Where do I find the books you are talking about?
 
A bookshop or Amazon or similar.
