Hey guys,

I thinks somehow the DNS properties of my win2000 machine is screwed
up and it is not letting me logging in even as local computer. I
installed parallel OS in another drive, which works fine. Is there
anyway I can change the DNS properties of my source OS (either using
this new parallel OS or any other means) to enable me to login?

Thanks a lot for your help.

The failed network card, incorrect DNS settings, etc. may prevent you
from logging into the domain, but have nothing to do with logging on
locally. Use the nordahl CD (from Pegasus' link on your cross-post in
another group - or google "offline NT password recovery")to reset the
local administrator password - just blank it, like they recommend. Then
you will be able to login locally and change your TCP/IP or any other
settings.

Also, have you tried logging into the domain account with the network
cable unplugged?
