When I open a picture, it goes to a Kodak program. I don't like the program
and want to change the default viewer. Where do I go to do this?

thanks

Hello Bob,

To change the default image viewer, right click on any image file on your system and point to "Open
with..." and select "Choose program". In the following dialog box, select "Windows picture and fax
viewer" and put a check next to "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file". Click
on OK. From there onwards, Windows Picture and fax viewer would be your default image viewing
program.

Hi Bob,

Open the Kodak program and look into its preferences/options/settings and
undo the setting that makes it the default program for images. If that
fails, try the Control Panel/Add & Remove/Set Program Access and Default.

Worst case scenarios would be to direct edit the file types, but I doubt
that will be necessary if you follow the above steps.

Heehee...same problem as in Windows 98SE.

Either you've entered a wrong path, file name or you're not using 8.3
notation without quotes.

If you can't see the option "Open with...", please press down the key
'shift'(do not let it up), the right click the file, you will see the
option 'open with...' in the menu.

I found the "Open with", but it only applies to the picture at I am opening
at that time. I want to set the viewer to default to a particular viewer
all the time without having to specifiy the viewer. I tried all
recommendations that have been provided, but no luck yet.

Thanks
bob
