How to change default properties of tables in PPT 2000

Anyone know how to change the default properties of tables
in PPT 2000? I'd like to change fonts, text box
properties.

I tried a few things, but it doesn't look like you can in
PPT 2000.

Hello Mark,

PowerPoint Tables get their default "Font" properties from the "Object Area
for AutoLayouts" on the Slide Master. This includes the bullet character
(if you choose to turn on bulleting), but does not include the ruler
(indentation) settings for each of the 5 supported outline levels in each
cell.

Other properties (fill color, line color) are derived from the color
scheme, by default, so that changes to the color scheme are reflected in
the table. The other default properties such as line thickness, line style,
etc. cannot be customized.

If you (or anyone else reading this message) think that it's important that
PowerPoint provide this kind of functionality (without having to resort to
VBA or add-ins), don't forget to send your feedback (in YOUR OWN WORDS,
