how to change default browser

How can I change my default browser? Right now it's IE. When I go
into Control Panal/Internet Options/Programs it indicates that IE is
the default and it doesn't give me the option of changing it.

Install the browser you want to use, and use *its* option to make it the
default.
 
Please state your IE version and full Windows version (e.g., WinXP SP3;
Vista SP1) when posting to this newsgroup.

What other browser(s) have you installed?
