I database was created for me at work. This database is to keep track all the
people that are taking differents exams. We have close to 2000 names and
other info there.
I'm behind with some work so I did copy the database to a CDWR and brought
it home. I encountered the problem that is "READ ONLY' Cannot make any
changes.
I really need help. I don't know how to make the change from READ ONLY to be
able to make changes and save them.
My boss expects me to have this database update by monday.
I have never use Access before and it is urgent to get this database update.
Any ideas?

Navigate to the file in Windows Explorer on your hard drive. Right-click on
the file icon and deselect the ReadOnly checkbox.

You can't edit a database on CD-RW.

You need to copy the database file on your hard-disk at home. Right-click
on the copy on your hard-disk and select Properties. Inspect the
"Read-Only" flag and uncheck it if necessary.

Once you finish editing at home and want to bring it back to the office,
copy it back to the CD-RW. At work, you will have to copy it back to the
computer at work as you did at home.

***Keep back-up copies if you are not sure of what you are doing.***
