Hi,

Simple question: In PowerPoint XP, I inserted a Word document as an object
with an icon and caption. How can I change the caption color?

Thanks.

I don't understand. PPT doesn't have a "caption" feature, really. How did
you create the caption?

Bill,
You can only change the color of the fill for the rectangle, the
color of the line around the rectangle and the icon. You cannot change
the color of the text in the caption that you create.

Hi,

Echo is right. However, if it is a balloon pop out thingo (And I'm sure
there is a technical term for it), it is part of the Desktop properties:

Right click on the desktop,
Properties,
Advanced,
Under the "Item" drop down area select tooltips, (Ah, that's what it is
called!),
And you can then change the colour, or at least in Windows XP.

There is a caption for a Word Picture Object. See (PowerPoint 2003) Insert >
Object > Create New > Microsoft Word Picture > Display as icon > Change Icon >
Caption.

There appears to be no way to change the color of the text and it is not
controlled by the Color Scheme. Seems to always be black.
