I tried a couple of times catching one image from a movie. I stopped the
movie first and then clicked the >print-screen< button.
When I went to check with > paint or Irfanview< there was no picture.
What do I do wrong ?
Thanks for your help. Phil

As you have discovered...Print Screen
does not work for video.

If it's a DVD...your DVD software should
have a capture option.

If it's an MPEG or AVI file you could try the
following free software.

Virtualdub
http://www.virtualdub.org/

Open the file in Virtualdub...drag the slider
until you see the frame you like...type...Ctrl /
1...to copy the file to your windows clipboard.

Now you can paste the file into...Paint /
IrfanView, etc..

Another thought...Irfan View can extract all frames
from a compatible video...it will save them as .bmps.
Be sure you have a folder selected to save them in
and if it's a large file you can expect lots of frames.

Just open the video file in IrfanView and go to...
Options / Extract All Frames...

If you look at the end frame field it will tell you how
many frames to expect...also you can adjust the
numbers to get fewer frames.
