Hi folks,

On my previous setup, I somehow managed to bypass the "User Accounts"
phase on startup. Thanks to some cleaning up, I'm now back to having
to select a account when turning on the computer.

How can I bypass the User Accounts option?

Thanks, Gary

In the Start Menu Run box enter: control userpasswords2 and you will
find the option there.

You only get this option if there is more than one user account (other than
'Guest'). You may think there is only one but a MS Windows update creates
another one (something like ASPNet from poor memory). Go into <Control
Panel><User Accounts> and make sure 'Guest account' is off and the only
other one is for yourself and your problem will disapear.

Bill,

Many thanks. I deleted the "ASP.NET Machine A..." account and now the
User Accounts phase is being bypassed.

I now recall installing the ASP.NET thingy when doing a Windows update
two days ago.
