I don't know if this is the rigtht place to put my
question, but here I go:

- sometimes it could be nice if one could cut or fade in
one track. E.g. you need a little more space on your cd-
disc to complete your 'favorite collection'. But I don't
know if it is possible with WMP - or another tool
(freeware). Can anyone tell?

Thank you in advance and please excuse if I did not make
myself understandable, danish is my mothertongue!

This freeware will do what you want:
http://www.logiccell.com/~mp3trim/index.htm The free version works on
music files up to 7 minutes in length.

Regards,
Ian.

I have several CDs with 79:59 on them. I had to trim a little time off a few
tracks. I use Feurio's track editor to do that. Feurio is $30 shareware, but it
offers an unlimited trial period. http://www.feurio.com/

Hallo sir,
and thank you for your reply. I have downloaded the
programme - but: I think I forgot to inform you that my
music-files on my harddrive all are .wma-files (I think
that WMP automaticcally turns them into such?) and the
programme mentionned in your reply requests .mp3-files.
After this discovery I tried to locate a programme that
could turn my .wma-files into .mp3s, which is off course
possibly (not freeware as I as could see?). Am I getting
the case correctly or am I missing a central point? That I
cannot fade/edit .wma-files, but only .mp3-files?

Thank you if you could find time to answer me once again.
Greetings

Dear Galley, the following answer is identical to the

You can convert wma files to mp3 with this freeware:
http://www.dbpoweramp.com/dmc.htm (You must also install the wma codec
pack from that site.) But it would be easier to just re-rip those music
files from CD directly to mp3 or wav.

Ian.

One of Feurio's few faults is that it doesn't support WMAs. :-(
