Hi
Unless you have created an ASR "Automated System Recovery"
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/winxppro/maintain/asr.mspx
,then you are down to a either trying to reboot computer in Last Known Good
Configuration, A full system repair using the Windows XP installation CD
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/helpandsupport/learnmore/tips/doug92.mspx
Try booting the computer in "Safe Mode with Command Prompt" and type
%systemroot%\system32\restore\rstrui.exe
this invokes the System Restore from a Command Prompt.
A last effort would be to use the Recovery Console but requires a fair bit
of knowledge http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;314058

Good Luck, Post back with details..

John
