I have enabled HORM (Hibernation Once / Resume Many) and the system now
resumes itself from a hibernated file everytime I boot it up.

However, if users perform another hibernation, the pre-hibernated file might
be changed.

How can I block users from accessing the hibernation at run-time?

Thanks in advance.

Timu,

You can restrict user from doing Hibernation if you create your own shell where you control the GUI and user access to system
features.
Otherwise, if you use Explorer shell, look into Group policies to restrict particular user accounts or groups. Specifically, with
the Group policies, which you can set directy in registry, you can remove some items from Start Menu and/or Shutdown/Logon dialogs
for particular user account(s).

Dear KM,

That is what I reckon.

May you share with me which registry key to change?

Thanks in advance.

Timu,

Well.. I was emphasis on the custom shell point.
So, am I right assuming you are playing with Explorer Shell?
If so.. there is no GPO for power options and I misled you in the previous post.
However, you can restrict user access to Start Menu options. E.g.,
[HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer], "NoClose".
