I am trying to block out sites like bravenet.com and zango.com,
casalemedia.com. I went to tools-internet options-privacy-sites and added
them to blocked but they are still coming up and putting data miner cookies
in my computer.

What, exactly, is your concern? Are you trying to prevent your computer
from connecting to specified websites? If so, you need a third-party
filtering program, of which there are many.

Or, are you trying to prevent so-called "data mining cookies" from being
written to your computer? If so, IE can provide you with the opportunity
to give thumbs up or down to every cookie that wants to be written to
your computer, although you will also find that there is no end of
third-party software that will do this for you. Of course, you will have
to have faith that the third-party has the same opinion as you do as to
what is and is not a "data mining cookie".

My concern is when I run my Ad-Aware I am finding critical objects with lots
of hits from sites I never heard of and I would like to block them.
So yes the sites and or cookies which ever is most important.

I disagree. It seems to me that the problem is that you continue to
allow malware onto your computer. You should adopt safe internet
practices. Blocking web sites and cookies won't prevent malware from
getting onto your system. It will get you in some other way.

So what I think you mean is I must stop my computer from going to these
sites.
And what if I have never heard of these sites?
Are they somehow connected to another site?
