Start
Run
type
gpedit.msc
click OK

<Group Policy Editor opens>

navigate to

User Configuration
Administrative Templates
Windows Components
Internet Explorer

In the right hand pane there are now loads of options to configure to
lock down IE from users

also more Proxy settings at

Computer Configuration
Administrative Templates
Windows Components
Internet Explorer

right hand pane option
"Make proxy settings per machine not per user"

and

User Configuration
Windows Settings
Internet Explorer Maintenance
Connection

right hand pane option

"Proxy Settings"

Hope that helps.

A great way to customize all facets of Internet Explorer is with the MS
IEAK (IE Administrator Kit)
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ieak/default.mspx It lets your build a
custom install of IE with all the setting you want.

Check it out!

I am running Terminal Server 2003 and have tried the your suggestions through
group policy but the had no effect on any of the users connections. I tested
all users and they all can still uncheck the proxy settings.

Is there some thing I have missed, I have complete administration rights.

I would appreciate any advice.

Regards
Darren
