I was able to install the backup program HP includes in the XP Home edition,
but when I get to the actual point of backing up, I get a message saying
that my machine (HP Pavilion 7900 desktop) is unable to do this. I spent
approx. two hours with a HP tech this morning, trying to accomplish this
task, to no avail. He told me to take it to Best Buy and have them do it. I
learned that they charge $60 to do the backup, and the same amount to put
in the new hard drive, which is the reason why I'm having to back everything
up. Is there another option to do these two things that would be less
costly?

thanks,
san
