I know in OE that we can backup all folders and email files by copying the folder Identities in USER/Local Settings/Application Data/Microsoft...

Is there a way to do something like this with MSO ? Where are the files located on the hard drive ?

By default they are stored in;
C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook

The files are pst-files. Make sure you include hidden and system files and
folders when searching for the items.

Simply copying the file when Outlook is closed will do fine. There is an
add-on from Microsoft for this as well;
