Hi, I'm running Outlook Express 6.0 on XP. I tend to be a collector, than a
worrier that I will lose my collection. Can anyone tell me how to backup
all of my emails on folders in my Local Folders?
I went to OE Help, and tried File -- Folder -- Compact All Folders. But I
couldn't find the compacted folders to then copy to a CD.
Thanks,
Hersh Kline

This is so simple it hurts. You should have figured this.
"When" you get email message "select all" and copy/paste
into "text" file. Save on hard-drive and/or diskette.
Also might make hard-copy of text file and keep in binder.
Done? Yes!
Email inbox should always be empty.

See Backup and Restore at this site:

The site starts out with a link to a free OE backup program.
