I keep Outlook open all the time my PC is switched on. My backup program
(Second Copy) fails to back up my outlook.pst file because Outlook 2007
apparently keeps it locked all the time.

How do you guys keep your outlook.pst file backed up?

I don't really want to trust to luck by leaving it un-backed up, because it
contains so much important information.

Incidentally, I've installed the Outlook backup add-in, but that only backs
up when you close Outlook.

I wonder if there is something based on shadow copy technology I can use?

Thanks,

SteveT

do you reboot occasionally? if so, use a batch to copy the pst and start
outlook when the pst is copied. Otherwise, you'll need to close outlook now
and again to copy the pst.

OK, thanks, Diane.
