How or where is the file that I need to back up if I want to save a copy of
MS Outlook contact/.address book?

Thanks

Rick

There is no address book. All Outlook data is stored in the same file. The
file you need to back up is your Personal Folders file (*.pst) It's where
all the mail, calendar, contacts etc are stored.

Take a look at these pages for info on Outlook data backup:

Do I understand what you are saying here?
---------------
"There is no address book. All Outlook data is stored in the same
file."

There is "no address book"?.......... so all the info in Outlook is in
the same file?

I had been using an old address book from 'Parsons Tech'.... and was
trying to import this into Outlook............... so I guess I have to
convert the older address book to a recognized type and import it into
Outlook........ is that about the size of it?

It appears when I tried doing this, that each address had to be
configured individually..... in other words it seems that I can't
import the whole thing at once............ each has to be done
individually?

Seems to be a long drawn out process but I would like to have all the
addresses and emails in Outlook 2003, if possible.

My question is: are there no shortcuts to this process?

thanks..........

......you said......... I said............

Yes. All Outlook data is in the same file.
Yes. You can only import data into Outlook from a file type that Outlook can
recognize (seems axiomatic).

You are asking me how to import from Parson's? I don't even know what that
is. You need to specify the supported file type that you are using, the
precise steps you are using and what happens for anyone to help you.
