Occasionally I connect to Internet through (broadband) modem, in detail by clicking on the menu

Start->Settings->Network Connection->MyProvider

A popup dialog appears with the dial number and a button "Dial".
It is annoying that I have to click again something (in this case the button "Dial").

Can I let WinXP automatically dial-in when ever I click the menu

Start->Settings->Network Connection->MyProvider

without being forced to click a button in an intermediate step ?

Is there a way to call the modem dial-in from batch script/command line?

If you are dialling , then I don`t think you are on broadband . Do you
use filter(s) on your phone line ?
