How to avoid messages coming on your screen?

Using Sygate Security agent as firewall, Norton antivirus , I'm still
invaded by unsolicited messages on my screen ('Jenny' and ...). Is there a
freeware that would preserve me from being scanned (my TCP/IP address which
is meanwhile often changing).

I'm assuming your running 2000/XP?

The spammers have found a way of using the messenger service ( not MSN
messenger)
This is a network service automatically started by 2000/XP on boot up

Start/Run type ' services.msc' ( without the quotes ) find messenger on the
list
and right click it, pick properties and press the stop button to disable it
immediately
and in the 'startup type ' box change the status to disable and press apply

Sygate is not closing all your ports.
You can check out the sygate forums for help on how to
setup.

Turning off the messenger service is a work around but does not
stop the "real" problem...

Open ports.

Thanks for info. Windows 2K is mine.
Run the ShootMessenger and the
disable was already done.as Mikk suggest.
I'm gessing that the ShootMessenger is disabling the flag and then I can
remove it from memory.
I have run all Sygate online test and only 'Location Servis' port 135 was
still Open.
I have not found any Sygate forum on their site;
