Dear friend,
I got a problem when I use the Excell.
When I copy the date from one file to another, the date changed.
For example, the original date is "May 24,2006",but when I try to copy it to
another file ,it changed into "May 23,2002".And it always changed into 2002
from other year.

Tools|Options|Calculation The original file has "1904 date system" checked
and the other file doesn't. Dates are stored as number of days since 1900
(default) or since 1904 (1904 date system). When you copy from one workbook
to another, the number of days is what gets transfered; if the two files are
not prepared to interpret that number of days in the same way, then you will
see a discrepancy.

Despite the misleading description in the MS web interface, the topic of
this group is things that cause Excel to crash. Since Excel rarely crashes,
this is not a widely read group. You would have gotten a much faster
response in a more mainstream newsgroup, where your question also would have
been more on topic.
