Hello
I have a serious problem in file system...

Deleting a file or folder accidentally from mapped network drive will remove
the file permanently....(In the case of Local Drive will send to recycle
bin)...

is there any way to track the deleted files/folder of a network mapped

drive...will automatically send to a folder like (recycle)....

Please help me

Hi Navan,

how about using salvage?

If you've got the Novell Client installed, right-click the folder where the
file was deleted, select Salvage Files...
For deleted folders, look in the Deleted.sav folder at the root of the
volume.

It's been a feature of NetWare for many years (as long as I can remember).

nice crossposting there navan.....

btw, you can use a freeware app called "salvage98" as a front end to salvage
files off a NetWare server. It looks just like explorer except it shows
deleted files. There is no need/reason to buy anything 3rd party or spend
any extra money as salvage (retrevial of deleted files over the network) has
been part of core NetWare for years, unlike some other "server" operating
systems.

Restore it from backup.
