How to avoid bounce to IE?

If I click on a link in my email program, will switch over to IE to
get the page. If it looks like the page may take a few seconds to
load, I'll switch back to email. But then, when the page comes in, I
get bounced out of email and back to IE. Is there any way to avoid
this behavior? Thanks!

Just downloaded TweakUI for Win98 (my OS). It downloads as an .exe
file, which then unzips into 4 files - .cnt, .cpl, .hlp, and .inf.
But no executable file. Am I missing something? Thanks!

I downloaded the Win98 version for my OS, and have checked the box to
Prevent apps from stealing focus, but the behavior hasn't changed.
Does this maybe not work in Win98?

I think you are right. I don't recall any win98 settings to avoid
stealing focus and I don't recall any utilities that could do that. But
you can search google for "windows 98 steal focus" or somesuch and see.
My search tends to indicate that w98 does not have this ability, but NT
based OSes do.

Sorry for the dead end lead.

No reason to apologize! The Win98 version of TweakUI includes a
checkbox to stop stealing focus, but apparently it doesn't actually
work. Oh well...
