How to avoid "Automovie" effects

I use Sketchup 3D modeling software to model and animate flythroughs of
buildings.
It creates finished high quality AVI files. All I want is to add background
music (WMA or MP3) and titles. That's all. Don't want any video effects.
What software do you recommend?

I tried Windows Moviemaker but it adds unwanted automatic video effects, and
reduces video quality. I don't see any way to avoid this.

I don't know why it adds anything that you don't tell it to...

for the quality of the movie, the preview is a rough draft 320x240 - 15 fps
mode, but the saved movie is what you select. If the built-in options are
not high enough in quality you can use a custom profile with your settings.
See the Saving Movies > Custom WMV Profiles page of my website.

and by all means... DO NOT hit the "Create Auto Movie" button. just drag
your clip to the timeline, add your sound and save as DV-AVI and you'll be
where you want.
