How to automatically update document from linked files -- Word 2003

We recently upgraded from Office 2000 to Office 2003. We are using Goldmine
as a contact manager and now when we open Word from Goldmine to create a
letter we get a popup with the message:

"This document contains links that may refer to other files. Do you want to
update this document with the data from the linked files?"

How do I turn off this prompt?

Well in Word 2000 - and I assume in Word 2003 as well - it is
Tools/Options/General and remove the tick from "Update automatic links at
Open".

Thanks that worked. I would never have thought that clearing that box would
fix the problem.
 
Note that clearing that check box may have repercussions when carrying out
other tasks such as MailMerge. So remember that you may need to check it
again at some time.
