How to automate outlook contact list update

When I change an email address for a contact that is assigned to distribution
lists I have to manually go to each list and click the UPDATE button before
the change is reflected in the list. This requires me to go to each list
since I don't know who is on which list. It makes the maintenance of
distribution lists difficult and time consuming. If the email address has
changed, how can I automatically update the associated distribution lists.

You've discovered the only way.
 
Yes, it stinks. It seems goofy that a distribution list that starts life
based on Contacts does not look back to the current information as to that
Contact. Pain in the head!
