How to archive emails in public folders

Hi

This question is about Microsoft Outlook 2000 SP-3. I have a public
folder that is setup to receive general emails. Our company policy (or
I dont know if outlook also does this) says that emails older than 30
days will get deleted automatically from the public folder.

I am trying to setup auto-archiving of this public folder email Inbox
to a pst file so I can retain the messages for much longer periods.

Anyone know of how I can do this?

When I right-click on the public folder Inbox, I do not see an option
that says 'AutoArchive'. This option is there on my regular Inbox, but
not in public folder.

Please help.

Thanks,
-Ravi

AutoArchive is a client function, not something that the server does. You'll want to look into server-based archives -- see http://www.slipstick.com/addins/housekeeping.htm#admin
