what do I have to do so that XP announces its terminal server over the
network and
it is not invisible.. see screenshot:

I want to see my xp pro machine when I press the [+] on the workgroup.

The real reason for this is because I want to use rdesktop from kubuntu to
connect to xp pro.. it has a search for terminal servers.....

thanx

You can apply a registry hack that allows this.

strangely, the hack did work with other XP machines...

but from the Linux [kubuntu] box it still does not see it as an available
term. server on the network ( although it did connect when I typed in the
name)

thanks for your help though.. much appreciated
