Hi,

Is there any way to configure vista to always run a given exe file in
elevated mode?
I am trying to avoid the loved UAC dialog box messages for my program ....

Thank you,
Max

There used to be a way to turn on UAC to run automatically,
but I can't remember where you turn it on,
Maybe someone else remembers.

This will let you run UAC in a silent mode, without the annoying box
message,
Down load from the following address, it's free,
http://www.tweak-uac.com/

Don't use it. What's the point of UAC if you generate an automatic and
silent "OK" for every prompt? It's like disconnecting the wires from your
burglar alarm siren.

Or unscrewing the bulb in your car's oil warning light because it keeps
coming on.

The only way to deal with this is PROPERLY - upgrade the program to one that
complies with the XP guidelines.

If the program genuinely does require to be run elevated - perhaps because
it's performing administrative functions - they you really should be logged
on as an administrator anyway, in which case you just get the confirmation
prompt, which is a single click (or left arrow followed by Enter).

right click on file and in context menu select properties. then select the
compatibilty tab and down near the bottom check box to always run as
administartor. note that on the first compatibity menu it should say run as
administrator which can be used as a one time pass.
