How to afford DHCP Server service in Windows XP professional

I installed a Windows XP professional in a computer. I
want to use it as the Server. This computer will afford
DHCP service to other computers in a local network. But I
can not find how to realize it.
In a Windows 2000 server version, I know I must add a
windows component and configure it. But I don't know how
to do it and I also can't find any information about it.

So I need your help!

Windows XP Professional is not intended to be a product for server use.
Accordingly, server software, like DHCP, is not included in the
package.

You may be able to find from a 3rd party DHCP or other server-type
software that runs on XP Professional. Use Google.

Perhaps a more fruitful way forward for you would be to use one of the
the Microsoft Windows Server products, or consider alternatives like one
of the Linux distributions, BSD, or the DHCP services provides in many
firwalls/routers.

Hi

Windows XP Professional isn't a server and it doesn't have a DHCP server
*unless* you install ICS and use that PC as a gateway. ICS has a 'mini'
DHCP server in it and will allocate IP addresses.
