I am using my own picture on my desktop and I would like to add The Serenity
Prayer over it. Does anyone know how to add text to the desktop? Any help
would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

You could add the text to a copy of the picture and then just use the
resulting picture as the background.

mspaint.exe should do it

You don't add text to the desktop. You add text to the picture that you are
using as wallpaper, and then set it as background

The program to automate it is by Sysinternals - "bginfo" is the name. You can use static text or dynamic data to print text on the current background image. You may need to schedule it or set to run at boot.
