How to add menu to a master page at run time?

Hi

I have a master page containing a menu and a site map data source
I also enabled secrutiy trimming.

I would like to add several items to the menu at run time from the
content page

Possibly use SQL-source for the sitemap data.

I believe MSDN magazine has an article on using database sources for
