how to add information into an active template

i am trying to create an event calender, I already have all the dates and
information on an excel file and I want to input the information into a
calender template without having to cut and paste each date. Is it even
possible. I am open for suggestions will even use a new calender program.
PLease help I have been trying for awhile to figure it out Thanks
 
This newsgroup is for questions about handling external data with
Microsoft Access database software. If that's not what you're intending
to use, this is the wrong place to as for help.

Possibly it would be easier to use a calendar (appointments) folder in
Microsoft Outlook. If your Excel data is in a suitable format it will be
possible to import it into Outlook. There's a lot of Outlook information
at http://www.slipstick.com. If you can't find what you need there, I
suggest you ask for help in an Outlook newsgroup - and explain how the
event data is stored in your Excel sheet so people can get an idea of
what may need to be done.
