Hi,
I'm learning about access2000, currently trying out a simple append query.
I'm baffled how to do something quite simple. I have a field in the records
in a table that the append query is updating which is a date, and as part
of the query I want to write the current date into that field for each
record I'm updating so I know when the record was updated, but I cannot see
how to do this ? All append queries seem to do is write data from one
table(or query) into another. Is there another query I should use ?
I'm sure this is a common requirement and any ideas would be welcomed.
Regards
Tony

Hi Rick,
I knew it must be obvious. I have used the date() function in reports but I
didn't appreciate you could use expressions in the fields in the query
design grid ?
Thanks for the tip.
Tony
