How to add an e-mailed distribution list to my contacts?

If you right click on a distribution list in contacts you can select to Send
Full Contact > In Outlook Format. This e-mails the distribution list to
someone. They can open it and it appears that they could save and it would
then appear in their contact list. It does not work that way though. Any
ideas on how to get this saved into their contacts?

I would send it by making a new email and using Insert Item to pop it into
the email.

You haven't told us which version each person is running.
