Hello,
I have a problem installing ADC connector on a DC in a
child domain. It's because I can't add a service account
for Exchange 5.5 in a child domain to Enterprise Admins
and Schema Admins on a root domain. User object is not
visible when I try to add user from a child domain. Can
any one please help me overcome this issue?

Root domain - Windows 2003 in mixed mode.
child domain - Windows 2000 in mixed mode.
Exchange 5.5 installed on a w2k DC in a child domain.

Thank you in advance.

Mark

When adding a user, provide its complete username in DOMAIN\username form.

Why do you need it be a member of schema admins and enterprise admins,
anyway?

I tried that, but it didn't work. I have only 2 objects
available (in root) when I am trying to add/find someone
from a child domain to Enterprise admins. These are "other
objects" and "contacts". No "users" objets is available. I
think it has something to do with schema configuration.

I can manage both domais fine except for adding anybody
from a child domain to schema admins. I need to do that in
order to instal AD connector. Exhchange is installed on a
DC in child's domain and I need its service account be
added to Enterprice and schema admins in the root domain.

thanks,
Mark
