I want to add a * domain name record to Win2000 DNS. This means any
computer name before the domain name will be pointed to the same IP address.

For example :

*.abc.com A 192.168.0.100
This means all computer name before abc.com will be pointed to 192.168.0.100

How to make this setting in Win2000 DNS?

In the abc.com Forward lookup zone, right click select "New domain" type *
as the name of the domain, open the * domain you just created, right click
select "New host" leave the name field blank, give it IP 192.168.0.100.

That said, if abc.com is an AD domain or if abc.com is in your DNS Suffix
search list, this will cause you a real problem because all queries will
resolve to this IP address because abc.com will be appended to all queries.
