Hi,
I have two XP pc's networked.
All ok - can access all from both....except I'm denied access to My
Documents1 from PC2 and denied access to My Documents 2 from PC1....get
message it's not accessible - you may not have permission to use this
network resource...contact the Administrator of the service to find out if
you have access permissions.
How to access My Documents from the networked pc?
Thanks,
John

Anyone?

Further info is:-

....now at the pulling hair out stage...

Finally, have had success with PC1 - I can now access PC2's My Documents
from PC1.

However have failed to access PC 1's My Documents from PC2!!...the approvals
procedure seems more complicated than with the XP Home pc.

(PC1 is XP pro, PC2 is XP Home if that info is significant)

I'd be glad of any help....when I right click PC1 My Documents then click
Properties, then click Sharing, I have Share this folder ticked and User
Limit Ticked...then when clicking Security am a bit baffled..the top window
entitled Group or user Name I have entered there Administrator
(PC1\Administrator) and in the bottom window entitled Permissions for
Administrator all the boxes except the Special Permissions ticked under
Allow.

I can't see how I arrange to give PC2 the approval to access PC1's My
Documents

I tried clicking on Add Group or User Name and expected to be able to access
PC2 in Locations...but only shows PC1 there :-(

Thanks in anticipation.

John
