How to access a password enabled shared folder in Win95 from WindowsXP? It
always prompts me to enter password to log in a grayed guest account in the
Win95 PC and the pre-set password no longer works, although it still can be
accessed from Windows2K after I have entered that pre-set password.

Create a user account/password on the XP machine that matches the one on
Win95.

Tried but doesn't work. It is not the password for any account but the
password for Full Access (write and read) that is set up on Win95 shared
folder and works on Win2K or earlier after it is entered.

Does the XP user account match the one on Win95? Exam the permissions in
Win2k and make sure the XP box matches. Did you use some special
encryption/password protection software on the Win95 box? Win95 of
itself has no built-in permissions.
